Live in each season as it passes.

Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit,
and resign yourself to the influence of the earth.
 ~Henry David Thoreau.”

The warm weather has finally arrived and it is both our pleasure and responsibility to go outside and enjoy!

Recently my family and I went to Apple Holler, an Apple Orchard & Farm Park in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. It’s less than an hour from our house. We enjoyed a nice breakfast, smelled the aroma from the bakery, strolled through their shop, and then went outdoors for a walk in the apple orchard (no apples yet.) This is most often something better in the fall, but we decided to beat the crowd. It has goats and chickens, mazes, games, and more – great for kids. And, most of Apple Holler is outside in nature!

I am loving nature and going outside: I am taking an outdoor water aerobics class this summer, planning two outdoor concerts at Ravinia, taking morning walks, visiting other communities by going to outdoor music concerts, and going to a Pickle Ball clinic. I’ll let you know next month how that turned out.

So, I urge you to explore nature and appreciate all the beauty it has to offer. Let me know what you are doing this spring and summer to “…breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit…”
